The Innovate-ED Conference is coming to Penticton!
Last year, we once again partnered with four other Thompson-Okanagan School Districts to host the second annual Innovate-ED Conference at Mount Boucherie Secondary School. Over 600 educators from across the Okanagan and beyond attended, and we continue to hear incredible feedback on the valuable learning sessions, keynotes, and more from the event (CLICK HERE to see a quick "look back" at the 2018 conference).
This year's 3rd annual event, Innovate-ED19, will be hosted at Penticton Secondary School on October 25, 2019, coinciding with the Provincial October Professional Development day. The theme for this year's event is once again "Students @ the Centre".
The conference will once again be an open-format with a wide variety of learning focus areas including: GSuite, Design Thinking, Inquiry-based learning, Innovative Learning Environments, FreshGrade, e-Portfolios, STEM, Coding, Robotics, Virtual Reality, High Leverage Apps/Tools, Digital Citizenship/Wellness, etc. There will also be student keynotes, giveaways, free lunch, raffles, and more!
- Early Bird pricing – be sure to register soon (CLICK HERE) and take advantage of this discounted rate
- Presentation proposals are still being accepted – in addition to having the conference fee waived, all accepted presenters will once again receive an invitation to the pre-conference social and an honorarium for their time and effort.
